About Biosensing
Beginning with its establishment as a university start-up, Biosensing has worked in connection with medical and scientific departments of excellence at “Sapienza” University of Rome, bringing its expertise to drive value from experimental studies.
The design of the devices rests on technologies developed at the Biosensors Lab, Department of Chemistry and Technology of Drugs, led by Professor Franco Mazzei.
The Biosensors Lab carries out research aimed in particular at the prototyping of electrochemical and/or optical sensors modified with nanostructured materials, coupled with interactions between enzyme molecules or antibodies and analytes of clinical, toxicological, food and environmental interest.

ISO 13485:2016
Biosensing has implemented an ISO 13485:2016 certified Quality Management System for the design, development and optimisation of in vitro medical devices. Compliance with international regulatory requirements ensures the highest quality and safety standards for continuous improvement of internal processes and end-user satisfaction.
